Very nice antique pocket watch by the Elgin Natl. Watch Co. This is a running watch, however after sitting for a while without running it needs a tap or bump to get it to start. I believe it could use a good cleaning. The watch case was made by the Keystone Watch Co. It is Silveroid. Silveroid contains no silver, it is a mixture of Copper and Nickle. The number stamped inside the watch case is 469617. There is also another number that is scratched on the inside of the case, possibly a service mark, S-4536-V. The numbers marked on the Elgin movement are 2727993. There are no indications that the watch contains any jewels. The body of the watch is about 2-1/8″ in diameter and 5/8″ thick.
